On Monday morning, August 6, 2018 at the main meeting hall of the University, the eighth ordinary meeting of the University Council was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Al-Mabrouk Fares, Acting President of the University. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Uzi and Dr. Aymen Ibrahim Omar, the president deputy for students affairs. The meeting discussed several items, including presenting a memorandum by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts on the amendment of the title of the Department of Geography, in addition to presenting the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine's memorandum on giving the go-ahead for holding a medical conference in the faculty along with some other subjects that concern the work and the tasks of the university Council.
