Awareness Campaign for Introducing Child Cancer, UInder the Slogan of a “Drop of Blood Turns Pain to Hope”
On Tuesday, January 1st, 2019, a demonstration campaign was held at the theatre of Faculty of Arts and Media, under the theme "Blood Drop Turns Pain to Hope". The campaign was attended by Dr. Abdel Kareem Kondair The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Media, Dr. Khalid Ghulam, Head of the Media Department at the Faculty, Dr. Siraj Omar, a pediatric surgeon at the Tripoli Medical Hospital, a number of faculty members, students and some sports delegates.. This campaign aims to educate the society and raise awareness among them in terms of identifying the symptoms of cancer to reach a recovering society, and to pay attention to the psychological side of children's cancer patients as well as to establish hope and trust in the treatment in order to recover, in addition to calling upon the media to contribute to raising health awareness of cancer. It is worth mentioning that this campaign is a graduation project for student "Samah Abu Garara" to obtain a bachelor's degree from Media Department Public Relations and media unit, under the supervision of Dr. "Nami Alalem ," a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Arts and Media.
